This is a NEW and EXCITING addition to my website. What is Trigger Point? Trigger Point therapy is a highly effective, non-invasive technique to minimize pain during treatment. Please feel free to consult the chart for suspect muscles for each of your pain concerns.
To use chart below, Run your curser over the different areas of the body on the trigger point chart to identify your area of pain. You may have to click on the picture to see the areas light up. Click on an area, then click on the muscle you wish to check out. Next run your curser over the X to see the pain pattern for that trigger point.
When you find the suspect muscle on your body and its trigger point(s), just press gently (no pain) and hold for 30-90 seconds. The trigger points usually feel like a small lump or tight band of fibers. If doing it on yourself, you will notice the pain they cause. If you have pain upon medium pressure, you are most likely on a trigger point. After 30-90 seconds, when you release the point, your pain should be gone. If not continuing checking each muscle and trigger point for that area of the body.
